Make room for curiosity
PlotProfound is a place to talk about stories that stay with us. Disagreement and strong opinions are welcome; personal attacks are not.
What we encourage
- Bring an observation, question, source or interpretation that adds to the conversation.
- Respect different reading experiences and use spoiler warnings when discussion goes beyond an article’s stated spoiler scope.
- Critique ideas rather than attacking readers or creators.
- Be generous with newcomers. Ask before assuming what somebody knows.
What we remove
Harassment, threats, hate or discriminatory abuse; impersonation and doxxing; spam, scams and unsolicited promotions; deliberately malicious links or code; content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, including unauthorized reproductions of protected text, images or other material; repeated disruptions or attempts to evade moderation.
Commenting and moderation
Anyone may read public comment threads. Only signed-in readers may comment, and readers may only post on content they are permitted to access.
Comments may be checked by automated anti-spam filters and moderation rules. Some comments may appear immediately, while others may be held for review or removed. We do not guarantee that every inappropriate comment will be detected, and we may restrict commenting privileges when necessary to protect the community.
Reports and appeals
To report a comment or request reconsideration, send the relevant page link and a short explanation to contact@plotprofound.com. Do not send login credentials or someone else’s private information.
Public profiles
Your display name and selected avatar may appear beside public comments.
Your collectible collection and aggregate reading statistics are private by default. You can choose to make them visible to other readers through your profile settings and change that preference later. Changing profile visibility does not hide comments you have already published.
Your private notes, highlights, saved reading lists, account email and billing information are not displayed on your public profile.
